Physical Education

The St. Anne & St. Jude Catholic School K-8 grade Physical Education program applies the Diocese of Charleston curriculum based primarily on the National Association for Sport and Physical Education standards and the South Carolina Academic Standards of Physical Education. We strive to develop the whole child; physically, mentally, socially and emotionally within a safe learning environment.  Students are provided opportunities to engage in various activities with the focus of developing and reinforcing flexibility, muscular strength/endurance and cardio-respiratory endurance.  Activities are also planned and designed to develop perceptual motor skills, gross loco-motor movements, manipulative skills, social and emotional skills, cooperative skills, competitive skills, and good sportsmanship.  Students are introduced to many fun activities that can also be enjoyed outside of school hours and are encouraged to value and achieve a lifetime of healthful fitness.
